In Loving Memory of Peggy S. Wells Opper

January 18, 1958 - June 14, 2025

Peggy S. Wells Opper passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2025, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, at the age of 67.

Peggy was born on January 18, 1958 in the sunshine state of Florida.  She made her home in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, where she spent many years surrounded by family and friends.

She worked at Hanny’s restaurant as a devoted employee and friendly face for locals and visitors alike, for 27 years.  Peggy would also go on to serve at Filter Tech for 10 years in quality control.

Peggy enjoyed many simple pleasures throughout her life.  She never shied away from playing a good game of cards or Bingo.  She was talented in the handicraft of crochet, enjoyed reading, and the challenge of a good puzzle.  Peggy was happiest cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers.

Peggy was a loving mother to Steven, Walter, and Crystal; a loving grandmother; and a loving sister.  She also held close, lifelong friendships with Penny and Sandy, who remained by her side through the years.

Peggy will be remembered with love by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with the service immediately following at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family invites you to honor Peggy in your own way- whether by enjoying a good book, sharing a game with a loved one, or simply offering a small act of kindness.
