Patricia Jean (Curran) Jenner

Patricia J. Jenner, 89, of the Lake Geneva area passed away at her home on May 29, 2025.

Patricia  Jenner was born to Walter and Vesta (Dawley) Curran on December 27, 1935. She grew up on Lake Beulah and attended Stewart School, and later moved to East Troy where she graduated from East Troy High School in 1953. After high school she moved to Minneapolis, MN to attend technical school and earned a degree in Telegrapher and Teletype Operations, which led her to Chicago to work at the LaSalle Street Station of the New York Central Railroad.

In 1955 she met Richard Jenner while he was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, and in 1958 they married and moved to the town of Lyons where they started their family. She became a member of the Lake Geneva First Congregational United Church of Christ in 1970, and once retired became very active on numerous committees.

In 1971 she was invited to join the Lake Geneva Police Department as one of the first female communications officers. She held that position until 1980 when she left and went to work at the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department. While there she was instrumental in establishing the current 911 system, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed slot machines, traveling and taking trips with her sisters, golfing, and visiting her many friends in Florida and in the North woods.

Pat is survived by her son Patrick (Heather); daughters Charlene (Joe), Laurie (Chuck), and Lisa (Dennis); grandchildren Grace (Zach), Ethan, Jack, Len Junior, Erica, Ryan (Gretchen), Chuck (Mindi), Brian, Jennifer (Matt), Josh, and Kyle (Corrine); her great grandchildren Daylee, Everett, Charlie, Clover, Kolton, Hayden and McKenna; and her sister Beverly; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; husband Richard; brother Robert; sister Sheila; sisters-in-law Janet, Isabel, and Joyce; and brothers-in-law Richard and Don.

The Jenner family extends its sincerest gratitude to Aurora Health, particularly to Pat’s primary home caregivers Vicki and Elma.

Services for Pat will be held on Saturday June 14th, 2025 at 12:00pm at the United Church of Christ - First Congregational Church in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on June 14th starting at 10:00am.  A private family burial will happen at a later date.
