Patricia A (Chelcun) Kuzniar

Patricia (Patti) A. Kuzniar age 71, of Burlington, WI, passed away December 23, 2023 at the Oak Park Place Memory Care Home with her husband Mike at her side. She was born in Chicago, IL on March 24, 1952, the daughter of the late Nick and Dolores (Burger) Chelcun.

On August 28, 1983, Patti married Mike Kuzniar in Burlington, WI.

Patti was talented in the Arts and Crafts field and enjoyed working with ceramics, pottery, sewing, quilting, and jewelry. She made many gifts for family and friends over the years. Patti worked in the Information Technology field for a number of years in Illinois, later moving to Wisconsin and worked at the Wheatland Center School for 13 years as a teacher’s aide in the computer lab and in special needs. She loved working with the children at the school, and held sewing and jewelry classes for the students.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mike: son: Jeff (Julia Sandberg) Kuzniar of Wisconsin Dells, WI, granddaughter: Ana Kuzniar, her brother Darrell Chelcun: and in-laws Marilyn (Jack) Fryk, Chris (Geri) Kuzniar, Ben (Joan) Kuzniar, Julie Chelcun, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Chelcun.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the Oak Park Place Memory Care staff in Burlington, WI and to the St Croix Hospice team for taking excellent care of Patti during her journey with Alzheimer’s disease.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 10:00am – 12:00 pm. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, WI with a luncheon commencing at 12:30 p.m.
