Nancy Lee Joyce (Swanson) Granholm

Nancy L. Granholm, 81, of Lake Geneva, passed away Thursday October 3rd, 2013. Nancy Lee Swanson was born on March 14th, 1932 to the late Eric and Helga (Gustafson) Swanson in Chicago, Illinois. She was united into marriage in Chicago on April 2nd, 1955 to the late Erik Gunnar Granholm.
Nancy was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Nancy was very active and social and loved to meet and talk with people when visiting garage sales and businesses in the area.
Nancy is survived by her 2 children: Bruce Granholm of Lake Geneva, and Lynn (Jim) Connors of Lake Geneva. 5 grandchildren survive Nancy: Ian Connors, Britt Granholm, Cameron Connors, Brenna Connors, and Zander Zilly, all of the Lake Geneva Area. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gunnar Granholm, in 2005.
A memorial service for Nancy will be held on Sunday November 3rd, 2013 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake Geneva, WI at 2:00 p.m. The family has asked that you wear bright colored clothing to the memorial service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a donation in Nancy’s name to the local human concerns non-profit group Side by Side, Inc.
