Molly (Maguire) Maguire Reek

Molly R. Maguire Reek, 56, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Thursday August 28, 2014 at her home.  The former Moll Renee Maguire was born November 16, 1957 in Iowa City, IA the daughter of the late John and Colleen (Coughlin) Maguire.  She graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1976; she then earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Sociology at Iowa State University. She was a member the Alpha Phi Sorority.  On July 21, 1984 in Lake Tahoe, NV she was united in marriage to Bruce H. Reek.  She had worked as a Social Worker at Lakeland Health Center in Elkhorn.  She was an active member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva.  She loved to golf, was an avid reader and enjoyed running and other fitness activities..  One of her favorite things was traveling family and friends.
Molly is survived by: Bruce, her husband of 30 years, 2 children; Jonathon of Minneapolis, MN and Sara a senior at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN, a sister Nan Maguire Simonetti of St. Louis Park, MN.  She was preceded in death by her parents John and Colleen Maguire.
A Celebration of Molly’s life will be held on Saturday September 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva; Pastors Mark and Mary Ann Moller-Gunderson will officiate.  There will be a gathering of friends, prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Molly’s name to: The Ocular Melanoma Foundation or Immanuel Lutheran Church Youth Scholarship Fund.  Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Reek family with arrangements.  To sign the on line guest registry click view/sign condolence book at the bottom of this page..
