Michael John Wisniewski

Michael J. Wisniewski, 69, of the Lake Geneva area passed away on October 13, 2024, at Mercy -Walworth Medical Center.

Michael was born on December 6th, 1954, to the late John and Rose Marie (Gniedzjko) Wisniewski in Chicago, Illinois. Michael was one of five children that John and Rose Marie would have.  On July 14, 1973, Michael was united into marriage to Kathleen Hilton at the Catholic Church in Pell Lake, Wisconsin.

Michael was a man that could strike up a conversation with anyone, at any time, at any place and by the time he was done it was like they knew each other for years.  Michael was also known as the man that could fix anything, if it was broke take it to Mike and he will fix, was the common thing heard.  He was an outdoors man who loved to go hunting and camping.  When the weather was right, he would hop on his motorcycle with Kathleen and go for a cruise.  Michael was a master of martial arts in Tai Chi and taught lessons to those willing to learn his craft.  Michael was a past member of the Linn Township Fire Department for 20 plus years. Michael was an amazing grandfather, a fantastic father, and a phenomenal husband.

Michael is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen. Two children: Christine Wisniewski and Joseph (Angie) Wisniewski, one grandchild: Brodie Russel and four sibling: Dennis (Donna) Wisniewski, Barb (Cliff) Hammarstromm, Mary (Dan) Ellison, and Cindy Wisniewski all survive him.

Service for Michael will be held on Sunday October 20th, 2024, at 2:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.  Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 12:00pm and going till service time.
