Michael John Faherty, age 75, beloved father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026 in his home with his children by his side. Born on August 20, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Verena (Cahill) Faherty, he grew up in Franklin, WI and attended Pius XI high school. After graduating high school, Michael earned his associate’s degree and worked for over 30 years in the engineering department at Harley-Davidson Motor Co, where he instilled his enthusiasm for motorcycles in his family.
On September 4, 1976, Michael married Camille Blaine. He was a caring father to his two children, Lisa and James who will continue to honor his memory.
Michael had a passion for all things engine and mechanical, and had a brief stint as a race car driver at Hales Corner’s Speedway. He spent much of his free time in the garage building and restoring vehicles. He also enjoyed woodworking projects and reading. After retiring, he made his home in Williams Bay, where he enjoyed the spectacular views and slow pace of cabin living. He loved life and will be sorely missed.
Michael is survived by his children, David and Lisa (Faherty) Zeller and James Faherty, his brothers Patrick and Sherry Faherty and Dennis and Patricia Faherty. He is also survived by his longtime partner, Maria Favuzzi, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Verena (Cahill) Faherty, his brother Timothy, and his sisters Milicent (Faherty) Kunesh and Jan (Faherty) Witt.
Michael’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Aurora at Home Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
