Michael James Cormican, born on September 16, 1987, in Hammond, Indiana, passed away on May 17, 2026, in Hampshire, Illinois. 

Michael was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a warm spirit, a contagious laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. He loved making people smile and never missed a chance to joke around or bring joy to those around him. He was known to his friends as Irish Mike. He had an especially big heart for animals and children, showing kindness and compassion wherever he went. Whether dressing up in fun costumes or stepping in to help a friend in need, he gave freely of himself and made people feel loved and accepted. A devoted man of faith, Michael loved the Lord deeply and carried that love into the way he treated others. 

Michael was multitalented and exceptionally hard working. He could do almost anything. Auto repair, carpentry, stonework, and project management to name a few. He was Certified in: Advanced Data Analytics and AI in Business. Michael had his own company call Cormican Crown.

 He cherished his family immensely and found his greatest happiness in the time spent with those he loved most. He welcomed everyone without judgment, accepting people for exactly who they were and making them feel valued and seen. His generous heart, unwavering love, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

 Michael was an avid gamer, finding delight and challenge in a variety of video games that captivated his interest. Beyond the screen, he cherished the outdoors, especially the serenity and excitement of swimming, boating, and hiking. A special bond was shared with his stepmother, Nadia, they enjoyed downhill skiing creating wonderful memories together. 

He is survived by a loving family who carry forward his legacy and spirit. His mother, Vicky Rendall, and father and stepmother Terry & Nadia Cormican, remain close in heart and memory. 

Michael was a father to three children, Elijah, Colin (preceded in death), and James. 

Among his siblings, Stephanie (Michael) Barnett, Kevin (Melissa) Cormican, and Jennifer (Anthony) Lawson, Olga Ridgway, all share in the remembrance of their brother’s warmth and character.

Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Michael’s life at Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on May 29, 2026, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM, Pastor Chuck from Calvary Community Church will be presiding, both held at the funeral home located at 800 Park Dr, Lake Geneva, WI 53147. The day will conclude with a burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, at 1101 Cemetery Road, Lake Geneva, WI 53147, starting at 1:45 PM.

Michael James Cormican's life was a testament to the joys of shared passions and the strength found in family ties. His memory endures in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, a lasting tribute to his unique and cherished presence among us.
