Merrill L. Karcher, 80, of Jensen Beach, FL and Lake Geneva, WI died Monday May 13, 2013 at his home in Florida. Merrill Lloyd Karcher Sr. was born in Walworth County, WI on February 17, 1933 the son of the late Walter and Rose (Yanke) Karcher. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. He was married to the former Anne C. Hall; she preceded him in death on October 16, 2009. He had been employed for over 55 years as an engineer for Trostel Manufacturing Company in Lake Geneva. During his career with Trostel’s he was instrumental in designing several products for them.
Merrill is survived by: a son Merrill L. “Butch” Karcher of Pell Lake, WI, a grandson Matthew Karcher, 2 great-grandchildren Benjamin and Adam, a brother Ronald (Marian) Karcher of Lake Geneva, WI and a sister Kay (Larry) Dangerfield of Mount Horeb, WI. He was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey.
