IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Edward
Schiller
February 9, 1963 – November 25, 2025
Mark Edward Schiller, born February 9, 1963, in Illinois, left this world on November 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy built as much with his hands as with his remarkable mind. Though he was never a man of many words, when Mark spoke, people listened — because he spoke with purpose, wisdom, and a quiet strength that shaped everyone around him.
From an early age, Mark had a gift for problem-solving. He could look at nearly anything — a machine, a building plan, a broken piece of equipment — and simply know how to fix it. His mind worked like a blueprint: sharp, intuitive, and endlessly creative. A general contractor, master builder, and heavy machinery operator, Mark built far more than structures. He built a business, a reputation for excellence, and a life defined by hard work and integrity. Mark’s passion for building and eyeing a grade was inherited from his father, who, just like Mark, could operate any piece of equipment- sometimes beyond its capabilities! His craftsmanship lives on not only in the projects he completed but in the work ethic he passed down through his family.
When Mark wasn’t building, he was on the golf course — his favorite place to unwind, laugh with friends, and put his competitive spirit to good use. Golf was more than a hobby; it was a joy, a challenge, and a place where he felt at home. And if you ever found yourself at a corn roast or bonfire with Mark, you witnessed another side of him — the man who could light up a night with his humor, a blow torch, and unmistakable presence.
Family was the foundation of Mark’s world. He shared a lifelong partnership with his wife, Sandra Jean, the love of his life. Together they created a home filled with loyalty, laughter, and a deep-rooted sense of belonging. His pride in his children — Luke (Ki’i) Hedding, Markie (Sterling Woods) Schiller, and Thor (Rita) Schiller — was unmatched. He celebrated their milestones, supported their dreams, and loved them with quiet but powerful devotion. His four grandchildren, six granddogs and four grandcats were his joy, each one bringing a sparkle to his eye.
Mark is also lovingly remembered by his siblings — Donna (Jim) Hellenbrand, Bonnie Bjerning, Sherry Bykowski, Roxanne (Richard Nelson) Schiller, Danielle (Michael) Schultz, Russell (Diane) Schiller, and Randy (Pattie) Schiller. With them, he shared a lifetime of stories, teasing, and togetherness that shaped the man he became.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Doris Schiller, his sister Rhonda, his brother Roger, and his brothers-in-law Philip Bjerning and Jim Bykowski. Their memories remain woven into the family history that defined him.
Mark’s life was a testament to building — businesses, structures, relationships, and family. His hands crafted what his brilliant mind imagined, and his legacy is one of grit, strength, and love. Those who were lucky enough to know him learned from him: that problems are just puzzles waiting to be solved, that hard work matters, and that family is everything.
Though the world is not the same without him, the impact of his life will echo for generations. His structures stand strong, his lessons live on, and his love endures in every life he touched.
A celebration of life will be held on December 3, 2025, at Hawks view Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, from 4–6 p.m.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a donation in Mark’s name to the Lake Geneva Children’s Museum. A project that Mark was passionate about.
