Marcie (Bollweg) Douglass

June 30, 1930 — February 23, 2015

Marcie Douglass, 84, a lifelong resident of Lake Geneva, died Monday February 23, 2015 at Village Glen in Lake Geneva.  The former Mary M. Bollweg was born in Wheaton, IL on June 30, 1930 the daughter of the late Herman and Evelyn (Fischer) Bollweg.  She graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1948.  On November 15, 1958 in Lake Geneva she was united in marriage to Donald “Baggie” Douglass; he preceded her in death on May 26, 2004.  She was an active member of Saint Francis deSales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva.  She was member of the Lake Geneva Lioness Club and a former member of the Lake Geneva History Commission.  She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years; she was actively involved in the community.
Marcie is survived by: 2 sisters; Judy (Robert) Russell of Lake Geneva and Gervaise “Bunny” (Bill) Lauf of Arlington Heights, IL a brother David Bollweg of Lake Geneva and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother Herman Bollweg Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday February 28, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Francis deSales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva; Father Jim Scheurman will officiate.  Burial will follow in Saint Francis deSales Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, in church, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Marcie’s name to: Lake Geneva Food Pantry, 715 Wisconsin St., Lake Geneva, WI 53147 or Alzheimer’s Association for Southeast WI, 620 South 76th St. Milwaukee, WI  53214.  To sign the on-line guest registry click view/sign condolence book at the bottom of this page.
