Marcia Jean Hoyer, of the Lake Geneva area, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 60 years old. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, on March 1, 1965 to David Hoyer and Helene Rusch, Marcia was a vibrant and creative spirit from the very beginning. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1983 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Her passion for nature and beauty led her to a fulfilling career in horticulture, where her artistic eye and green thumb brought joy to many. Marcia had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether she was gardening, crafting, boating, relaxing on the beach, or riding a Harley-Davidson, she embraced life with energy and joy. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, she could always be counted on to cheer loudest on game days. Of all her accomplishments, Marcia was proudest of being a mother. Her two sons, Russell and Kalvin Johnson, were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in the men they have become. She was a guiding light in their lives; full of unconditional love, wisdom, and strength. Marcia is survived by her sons, Russell and Kalvin Johnson; her siblings Jana Hoyer (Michael Cianciolo), Karen Hoyer, Peter Hoyer (Lorelle), and Julie Hoyer; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings: Jeffrey Hoyer and Sally Hoyer. A Celebration of Marcia’s Life open house will be held on Saturday May 31st from noon to 3 p.m. at the Upper Deck of Pier 290 in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. Marcia’s warmth, laughter, and love will live on in all who knew her.
