Louise M. Chochola, 96, a lifelong resident of the Lake Geneva area passed away Wednesday morning May 8, 2013 at Lakeland Medical Center. The former Louise M. Shimeta was born on June 18th, 1916 to George and Mary (Fon) Shimeta in Cudahy, WI. Louise was a 1934 graduate of Cudahy High School. After high School Louise went into the Navy and became a Pharmacist Mate. Louise served in WWII at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Louise was a member of the Hilltoppers, R.S.V.P., and the Memorial Community Associated at Lakeland Hospital.
Louise was united in marriage to the late James Chochola on December 28th, 1946 in Cudahy WI. James preceded her in death on May 27th, 2000. Louise is survived by 2 children: Mary (Dale) Follman of Hampshire Ill, and James Chochola of Lake Geneva, WI. Louise is survived by 6 Grandchildren: Lindsey Chochola, Brian Follman, Grace Chochola, Katie (Ron) Clark, Kristie (Justin) Debolt, and Laura (Joe) Gardner. 4 Great-Grandchildren also survive Louise: Braeden Gardner, Jordan DeBolt, Lillian Debolt, Ceceilla Debolt, and many Nieces and Nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Shimeta, 3 brothers: Edward, Richard, and George Shimeta, and a sister-in-law Mildred Shimeta.
Services for Louise will be Saturday May 11th, 2013 at 12:00p.m. In the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, WI, Father Gary Nowicki of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. till time of services. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery immediately following the funeral.
