Loretta Josephine (Celmer) Maas

Loretta J Mass, 94, of Lake Geneva passed away on Sunday December 12th, 2021, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.

Born Loretta Josephine Celmer to the late Vincent and Stella (Drazba) Celmer on February 10th, 1927, in Chicago Illinois.  On July 2, 1949, Loretta was united into marriage to the Late John Maas in Chicago Illinois.

Loretta was a proud member of the St. Francis De Sales Church family. She could be found at mass several times per week.  Loretta was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Francis.

Three Daughters survive Loretta: Jackie (John) Pytel, Renee (Robert) Civitella, and Patty (Tom) Kormos. Three grandchildren: Erin (Paul) Milas, Clara Kormos, and Robby Civitella and three great-grandchildren:  Joseph, Everett, and Cora Milas and one brother: Paul Celmer all survive Loretta.  Loretta was proceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, John, on March 15th, 2013.  Five Siblings also proceeded Loretta in death: Eleanor, Alfreda, Elizabeth, Vincent, and Leonard.

Mass of Christian Burial for  Loretta will be held on Thursday December 16th, 2021, at 11:00am at St. Francis De Sales Church in Lake Geneva.  Visitation will be held at church from 10:00am till the time of mass on the 16th.  Burial will follow the Mass at St. Francis De Sales cemetery.
