Lisa D Cates

March 11, 1966 — March 26, 2023

Lisa D. Cates, 57, formerly of the Lake Geneva area, most recently from the Crivitz area, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2023.

Lisa was born on March 11th, 1966 to Sandra Gonsales, in California.   After Lisa and her Mom relocated to Wisconsin, Lisa became a member of the graduating class of 1984 from Williams Bay High School in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. On October 9th, 2005, Lisa was united in marriage to Mark Cates.

Lisa loved the snow and was the treasurer of the Iron Snow Shoe Snowmobile Club. She loved the outdoors and all it had to offer. On a beautiful sunny day she would be found digging in her garden. She had quite the green thumb! On a rainy day you might have found her canning and baking or reading a book surrounded by her kitty cats. Lisa was a very kind soul who was filled with love and laughter to those who surrounded her. Her presence will be missed dearly by many.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 17 years, Mark.  Five children survive Lisa: Elisabeth Michaels, Emily Michaels, Jared Collins, Jessica (Ryan) Peterson, and Tim (Veronica) Cates.  Eleven grandchildren along with one sister: Julie (Matt) Jackowski, one brother: Max Collins, and her mother: Sandra Collins, all survive Lisa.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Lisa in the late summer or early fall.
