Laurel Gay (Johnson) Herich

Laurel G. Herich, 86, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday May 11, 2021, at Village Glen in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Born Laurel Gay Johnson to the late Lars and Angeline (Reed) Johnson on July 29th, 1934, in Spruce, Wisconsin.  Laurel was a member of the graduating class of 1952 from Oconto Falls High School.  On October 7th, 1961, Laurel was united into marriage to Arnold Alfred Herich.

3 children survive Laurel: Christian (Denise) Herich of San Diego, California; Gay (Kevin) Doyle of Algonquin, Illinois; and Holly (Nels) Ekornaas of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.  8 grandchildren: Ryan, Mathew, and Nathan Herich: Andrew and Trevor Doyle: Connor, Caitlin, and Annabelle Ekornaas all survive Laurel.  2 sisters: Neva Lemorande and Dora Slang and two sister's-in-law; Judith Philipsen and Mary Johnson also survive Laurel.  Laurel was preceeded in death by one son: Mark Herich, her husband Arnold, her parents, and 4 sisters: Wilma Valenta, Mae Olick, Audrey Kralovetz, Beverly Arneson, and 6 brothers: Lars Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Clyde Johnson, Virgil Johnson, and Dale Philipsen.

Services for Laurel will be held on Friday May 21, 2021, at 6:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be from 4:00pm till 6:00pm on the day of the service.  Burial will be on Saturday May 22, 2021, at Hickory Cemetery in Suring, Wisconsin at 1:00pm.
