Larry C. Frey age 64, entered into the Lord's presence on Saturday, August 1st, 2026. Born July 28, 1962 to Walter and Carolyn (Mereness) Frey in Elkhorn, WI. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Geneva, graduating from Badger High School in 1980.
Larry devoted his early years to helping on the family farm then transitioning to the Putnam Company in Walworth, WI then to Morton/Dow Chemical Company as Logistics Supervisor for 25 years. The last 15 years of his life he devoted his time caring for his beloved Aunt Doris Hatch, and his Father and Mother. He also became an entrepreneur taking over ownership of Sugar Creek Signs in 2015 with his business partner and future wife, Sharon.
Larry was known as a creative craftsman. Woodworking, hand-turning pens, welding, tinkering on machinery are just a few of his many talents. He played piano for church services, choirs and hymn sings. Spending time with his children at theme parks, hot air balloon chasing, riding his motorcycle and later in life enjoying time in his beloved Missouri were some of the many joys he indulged in.
Larry was a devoted husband, brother, uncle and father to his children, step-children, and grandchildren. Most importantly he was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ whom he loved and dedicated his life to serving to best of his ability. His hope and faith NEVER waivered in the face of uncertainty.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife Sharon, daughter Melissa (Jake) Witte granddaughters Chesnee and Tennsley. Son Brian (Kaitlyn) Frey granddaughters Charley, Haylee and Darcy. Step-daughter Sydney Henke and step-son Jacob Henke. Brother Allan (Jane) Frey, Niece Jocelyn (Benjamin) Czap, grand-nephews Zephaniah, Peter, Titus, Korban, step-niece Vicki and brother and sister-in-law Terry and Jane Mayer.
He is preceeded in death by his parents Walter and Carolyn. Aunt Doris and Uncle Seymour Hatch. In-laws Hal and Bonnie Mayer and beloved granddaughter Haven.
Larry completed his remarkable journey, leaving behind a world immeasurably brighter for having known him.
Friends and family will gather in honor of Larry’s life at Briggs Road Evangelical Free Church, 4654 Briggs Road, Elkhorn, Wisconsin, on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 -11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 A.M - 12:00P.M. Together, all who loved him will share their sorrow and gratitude, mourning the loss and celebrating the indelible legacy Larry leaves behind.
In honor of Larry's wishes the family has asked that in lieu of other expressions of sympathy that donations may be made to the Briggs Road Evangelical Church. A place Larry dedicated his time to and found peace in the Sunday services.
