Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and Naples, Florida

Kevin Joseph McEvoy, whose life was defined by dedication, community service, and a joyful spirit, passed away on May 19, 2026, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Born on May 10, 1954, in Quebec, Canada, he will be remembered for his professional accomplishments, civic commitment, and genuine warmth.

Kevin built a distinguished career with Com Ed and Exelon, where he developed a passion for energy trading. Beyond his professional life, he was deeply committed to serving his community. For many years, he volunteered with McHenry Township Fire Protection District Company #2, where he served alongside lifelong friends and valued the camaraderie. He also served as a Village Trustee in Johnsburg, Illinois, earning the respect of his peers through his integrity and steady leadership.

Kevin graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, New York in 1973, where he developed the discipline and perseverance that guided him throughout his life. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University while working full time and raising his family.

Those who knew Kevin will remember his vibrant spirit. He loved golf and was a devoted Chicago sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears. He found peace on the water, whether boating along the Chain of Lakes or watching the Fox River from his deck. A generous host, he was known for memorable gatherings, especially his Thanksgiving turkey fries and Fourth of July parties. His volunteer work with F.I.S.H. and his efforts driving elderly residents to medical appointments reflected his generous heart and steadfast commitment to helping others.

Kevin is mourned by his beloved wife of 47 years, Jill, with whom he shared a life of enduring love and partnership. Together they raised two children, Katherine and her husband Brian, and Joseph and his wife Marie, who carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren—Maggie, Milo, Toby, and Dolly—who were a great source of pride and joy. He is also remembered by his siblings Michael and Karen McEvoy, Mark and Garian McEvoy, and his sister-in-law Antoinette, all of whom will continue to cherish his memory.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Katherine, and by his brothers Jerry and Joseph. Their absence is deeply felt by all who loved them.
