Ken (Kip) Lyle Scheuerman, beloved brother of Penny Sue Scheuerman and Gary Lee Scheuerman, passed away on May 19th at Aurora Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn, WI, after falling on April 29th and fracturing his pelvis in two places. He is further survived by his loving nieces Robynanne Reiter (Brennan), Julianne Becker (Beau), Maliya Johnson, nephew Peter Scheuerman along with grandniece Amelia Johnson, grandnephews Brady Becker and Brennan Becker, and many other cherished relatives.
Kip was born on June 12th, 1942, to Kenneth Charles and June Vivian Scheuerman at Milwaukee Hospital. In 1951, his family moved to their home on Lac LaBelle in Oconomowoc where Kip spent wonderful years on the lake enjoying swimming and boating in his wooden outboard boat. Addicted to lake life, he became an excellent slalom water skier and figure skater.
After attending Oconomowoc High School, he took classes at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Kip worked in the printing industry and other manufacturing in his younger years and in his later years helped his mother with her antique business. Learning bridge at an early age, Kip was an avid player throughout his life. Another passion was model ship building. With time and dedication, he became very accomplished while building many stunning ship models over the years. Like his father Ken, Kip loved everything about cars. His last car was a red 1991 Cadillac Seville.
While a bachelor all his life, Kip was very family oriented and always helped his family however he could. He lived with his parents in their later years and took care of many of their household chores and property upkeep. In his mother’s final years, he provided loving care while she suffered from Alzheimers. Kip will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh, along with his kindness and compassion.
A memorial/celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 14th at 2pm with visitation at 1pm at the Derrick Funeral Home, 800 Park Drive, Lake Geneva, WI. Afterwards, everyone is invited to the home of Penny Scheuerman, 290 Pearson Drive, in Lake Geneva for food and fellowship.
