Kathleen T. “Katie” Lenon, 53, of Lake Geneva, WI died Wednesday January 16, 2013 at Williams Bay Care Center in Williams Bay, WI. Kathleen Theresa Lenon was born in Geneva Township, WI on July 23, 1959 the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Gile) Lenon. She graduated from Badger High School in 1977 and then from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls with a BS Degree in Animal Science. She was a friend of Bill W. She loved animals, especially horses, but her greatest love was for her family.
Katie is survived by: 2 sons; Shaun Browne of Shell lake, WI and Carl Browne of Lake Geneva, WI, 2 sisters; Mary Smith of Lake Geneva, WI and Maureen Lenon of Jefferson, WI, 3 brothers; David Lenon of Alexandria, VA, Brian (Mary) Lenon of Waupaca, WI and Patrick Lenon of Madison, WI, her longtime companion Ronald Sojka and his children Dawn Monroe and Dan Sojka. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be said Saturday January 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva; Father Angel Anaya will officiate. Inurnment will be in Saint Francis deSales Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, in church, from 12:00 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Katie’s name to: the American Cancer Society or to the Lenon family.
