Kathleen F. Decker, 83, of Williams Bay, WI, died Wednesday September 17, 2014 at Geneva Lake Manor Nursing Home in Lake Geneva, WI. The former Kathleen Frances Greenbaum was born in Allentown, PA on July 5, 1931 the daughter of the late Raymond and Ida (Ohl) Greenbaum. She graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree and then earned a masters degree at Northeastern Illinois University. On August 8, 1972, in Palatine, IL, she was united in marriage to Ralph H. Decker. Kathleen was very creative and enjoyed quilting and pottery making. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a volunteer at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI; she delivered Meals on Wheels and was a docent for the Walworth County Historical Society. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending time on the beaches at Golf Shores, AL. She loved spending time on Geneva Lake. She worked for 28 years as an art teacher.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Ralph, 3 daughters; Barbara (John) Schmidt of Ludington, MI, Amy Kite of Gurnee, IL and Sarah (Frederic) Schwarzkopf of Cary, IL, 4 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and a sister Betty Ewing of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert. There will be there will be a gathering of friends Saturday October 4, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lake Geneva.
