Karen J. Niznik, 83, of the Lake Geneva area passed away on August 12th, 2023, at Arbor Village in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Karen was born on February 5, 1940, to the late Forest and Lois (Cooley) McAllister in Joliet, Illinois. Karen was one of three children that Forest and Lois would have. Karen was a member of the graduating class of 1958 from Joliet High School. IN 1959 Karen was united into marriage to the late Ernest Niznik.
Karen was a member of Trinity Church in Pell Lake, Wisconsin and could be found working in the kitchen for any function as part of the “Church Lady” group as they were known.
Karen is survived by her daughter Kim (Robert) Halvorson, three grandchildren Katrina Alevizos, Cassandra Motta, Kara (Eric Mayson) Motta, and one great-grandchild Rory. Karen is also survived by one sister Judith Lee Barnes. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Lois, and one sister, Sonja Ray Brinkley.
Services for Karen will be held on Thursday August 31, 2023, at Trinity Church in Pell Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:00am till the time of service on August 31. Coffee and Cookies will follow.
