Karen Ann (Lien) Weiss

Karen A. Weiss, 78, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Friday February 9, 2018 at Holton Manor Nursing Home in Elkhorn, WI.  The former Karen Ann Lien was born in Cudahy, WI on May 13, 1939 the daughter of the late Oliver and Viola (Van Selow) Lien.  She graduated from Bayview High School in 1957.  On January 22, 1966 in Milwaukee, WI she was united in marriage to Kenneth “Whitey” Weiss; he preceded her in death on January 4, 2009.

Karen attended of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pell Lake, WI, and was a past member of the Sgt. Leslie Knutson V.F.W. Post 2304 Auxiliary.

Karen is survived by: a daughter, Michele (Brian) Dolata of Genoa City, WI, and 2 granddaughters; Allison (Kyle) Zembal and Kailin Dolata. 1 brother: Eugene Lien of Lady Lake, Florida; 3 sisters-in-law; Lollie Schnell of New Berlin, WI, Anne Lien of Cudahy, WI and Diane Moe of Brookfield, WI and many nieces, nephews and friends all survive Karen.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Lien.

Karen’s family would like to thank the staff at Holton Manor and Kindred Hospice for their genuine care and compassion.  A special thank you to Ellen Gibbs for her act of love.

Services for Karen will be held on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, visitation will be Thursday, at the funeral home, from 12:00 p.m. until time of services.   Burial will be in Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 at 10:00am.
