June L. Lemmerhirt, 93, of the Delavan, Wisconsin area passed away at Mercy Janesville Hospital on November 7, 2024.
June was born on May 26, 1931, to the late Herbert and Henrietta (Krause) Wagner in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. June and her family relocated down to the Lake Geneva area where she become a member of the graduating class of 1949 from Lake Geneva High School. June was lucky enough to be united into marriage to two great gentlemen. First would be to Freeman Miles and then second, she was married to Clifford Lemmerhirt.
To say that June was an active lady just barely describes her. June decided to go back to school and attended Blackhawk Technical College. She was such an amazing student through skill and attitude that Blackhawk offered her a job in their computer lab. June was active in the Reads Program, which would have volunteers come into the local schools and have students read to them. June volunteered at Mary’s Place in Delavan; she was active member at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church. June was an avid quilter and loved to knit. She loved to spend time in her flower garden and when she had the free time, she loved to play Bunko.
June is survived by her two daughters: Catherine (Jerry Sosnowski) Miles and Cindy Murdock and two stepchildren: Cliff Lemmerhirt, Gay Lemmerhirt. Two grandchildren: Erin (Chris Bartolotta) Murdock and Robert (Jessica) Murdock, along with three great-grandchildren Miles Sie, Jackson Murdock, and Logan Murdock all survive June. June was preceded in death by one child: Lawrence Miles, her parents Herbert and Henriette, two stepchildren: Joy Lemmerhirt and Chris Lemmerhirt, both of her husbands and several siblings.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday November 14, 2024 at 1:00pm at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church. A gathering of friends and family will start at 11:00am on Thursday November 14th, 2024 at the church.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you donate in June's name to Lymphoma Association .
