Julia Dian (Henninger) Strunk

Julia “Dian” Strunk, 72, of Lyons Township, passed away Wednesday March 13, 2019 at her home.  The former Julia Dian Strunk was born in Oklahoma City, OK on September 22, 1946 the daughter of the late J. E. and Rose (Sherbon) Henninger.  On January 22, 1966, in Oklahoma City, OK, she was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Strunk.  She had worked for many years as a clerk for Walworth County.  She had been very active in Habitat for Humanity and A.F.S.C.M.E.  She also was very active in the Democratic Party.  She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids: however she often made comment to them; “stay out of my kitchen”

Dian is survived by: Ken, her husband of 53 years, 3 children; Kris Tibbetts of Waterford, WI, Harry (Shannon) Strunk of Amherst, WI and Karen (Myron) Taylor of Oak Park, IL, 7 grandchildren; Braden, Sarah, Kailey, Noah, Kaiden, Allysa and Cameron,  and a brother B. Chris Henninger of Dallas, TX.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services for Dian will be held on Thursday March 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church; Pastor Heather Brewer will officiate.  Visitation will be Thursday, in church, from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.

Flowers may be sent to the church, alternatively, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of Dian in lieu of flowers.  Charities that were important to her were Habitat for Humanity and the Alzheimer’s Association.
