Judith D. Waldorf, 77, of Oconomowoc, WI, formerly of Lake Geneva, WI, died Saturday May 23, 2015 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The former Judith Diane Markley was born in Prophetstown, IL the daughter of the late Ward and Marian (Fassett) Markley. She graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, IA in 1955. On August 13, 1955 in Clinton, IA she was united in marriage to Joseph F. Waldorf; he preceded her in death on November 18, 2007. She had worked as an optician for several medical and optical offices and she also had worked at a daycare center. She was a former member of Saint Francis deSales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, camping, long walks and soccer. Her happiest times were spent with her husband, Joe, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy is survived by: 2 sons; Michael (Carol) Waldorf of Sussex, WI, Richard (Susan) Waldorf) of Oconomowoc, WI, Son-in-law Stephen Ahlgren of Lake Geneva, WI, 6 grandchildren; Timothy (Christy) Waldorf, Daniel Waldorf, Kimberly (Daniel) Teresinski, Ryan (Katie) Waldorf, Joseph Ahlgren and James Ahlgren, 6 great-grandchildren Mason Waldorf, Lilah Waldorf, Brianna Teresinski, Ethan Teresinski, and Lucas Waldorf, a brother-in-law Robert (Ethel) Waldorf of Clinton, IA, further survived by 3 nephews and a niece and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, a daughter Cathleen Ahlgren and a granddaughter Stephanie Ahlgren. Judy truly believed “LOVE NEVER DIES”. She and Joe were always so very proud of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, their beautiful daughter and baby granddaughter in Saint Francis deSales Cemetery where private family services will be held. Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva is assisting the Waldorf family with arrangements. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Judy’s name to the Waukesha County Humane Society, 701 Northview Rd., Waukesha, WI 53188.
