John W. "Jack" Mccormick

John W. “Jack” McCormick Sr., 80, of Lake Geneva, WI and Venice, FL. died Friday March 9, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI.  John William McCormick was born in Chicago, IL on April 28, 1931 the son of the late Edward and Lonore (Kresen) McCormick.  He graduated from Leo High School in Chicago, IL in 1949 and then from the University of Illinois in Champagne in 1956 with a degree in Business Administration.  On January 23, 1954 in Chicago, IL he was united in marriage to the former Veronica Spatz.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army.  He was a former member of the A.T & T Pioneers and a former member of the Lake Geneva, WI Kiwanis Club.  He was a member of Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a Lector and Eucharistic minister.  He was passionate about his family.
Jack is survived by: Veronica, his wife of 58 years, 4 children; Kathy (Denny) Moller of Wheaton, IL, Karen (James) Streu of Glen Ellyn, IL, Jack (Kim) McCormick Jr. of Fox Lake, IL and Janet (Scott) Richards of Libertyville, IL, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 148 Main St., Lake Geneva, WI; Monsignor David Malloy will officiate.  Visitation will be in church Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Jack’s name to: V.N.A. Hospice of Lake Geneva, 500 Interchange North, Lake Geneva, WI 53147 or the American Lung Association, 13100 W. Lisbon Rd.
