Joan R. (Hunsaker) Godfrey

Joan R. Godfrey, 83, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Monday November 21, 2016 at her home.  The former Joan Ruth Hunsaker was born in Chicago, IL on June 12, 1933.  On June 15, 1974 in Elgin, IL she was united in marriage to Raymond G. Godfrey.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle.  She was a talented cook and enjoyed singing to her grandchildren.  She enjoyed watching television, especially politics, news and old movies.

Joan is survived by: 4 children; Cathy, George, Rick and Patricia, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services for Joan will be held Sunday December 11, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva.  Visitation will be Sunday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 p.m. until time of services.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Joan’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  To sign the on-line guest registry click guest book/condolences.
