Jerald Lee Anderson

Jerald Lee Anderson of the Lake Geneva area passed away on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at the Ridgestone Gardens in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

Jerald was born on November 27th, 1931 and graduated from Burlington High School.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, in the 2nd Infantry Division (the “Indianhead” Division) and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.   He worked his entire career for Illinois Bell Telephone, as a lineman and later as a Wire Chief.

Jerold was an avid hunter and sportsman, and a skilled gunsmith.  He was known for his quick wit and dry humor, sometimes to the chagrin of others.  Jerald was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary, in 2024.

He married Rosemary in 1973 and resided in Burlington, IL until retiring to Oklahoma and later moving to the Lake Geneva area.

Jerald is survived by his daughters Leslie Jurgensen (Tom) and Jayne Pritchard (David) and son Tim.  He had 2 granddaughters, Katy Jurgensen Gloege (Tad) and Katana Maiden (Ethan,) and grandson Kolben Pritchard  as well as great grandsons Anderson and Jackson Gloege and soon to be great granddaughter Faye Maiden.  He is also survived by his stepdaughter  Maureen Mushinsky (Ron) and her son Matthew Nelson, and stepson Mark Clements and his daughter Nicole Clements and  step grandson Silas.  His bother David and stepdaughter Cherise Y. Beck preceded him in death.

He cared deeply for his family, and will be missed by all those who loved him.

Special thanks to Maureen and Ron Mushinsky for the thoughtfulness, love and patience over the years shown to both Jerald and Rosemary.  You are greatly appreciated.

Services for Jerald will be held on Thursday June 19th, 2025 at 1:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home with military honors at 1:30.  Visitation will be held prior to the services starting at 12:00pm
