Jenny J. (Classen) Smith

Jenny J. Smith, 79, of Delavan, WI, formerly of Lake Geneva, died Wednesday April 25 at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI. The former Jenny Jean Classen was born in Horicon, WI on August 20, 1932 the daughter of the late Daniel and Mildred (Miller) Classen. She graduated from Horicon High School in 1952; she then graduated from Columbia School of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI and attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA. In June of 1956 she was united in marriage to Dr. Ralph W. Smith; he preceded her in death on October 4, 2007. She worked with her husband at the Lake Geneva Animal Hospital for many years.
Jenny is survived by: 4 children; Kathleen (David) Norini of Minneapolis, MN, Mark (Karen) Smith of New Berlin, WI, Pam (Larry) Smith-Hopkins of Pittsburgh, PA and Mike (Melissa) Smith of Wind Lake, WI, 4 grandchildren and a brother Peter (Barbara) Classen.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church in Lake Geneva. Arrangements were made through Derrick Funeral Home & Cremation Services. To sign the on-line guest registry please click view/sign at the bottom of this page.
