Jeannette K. Maslanka, 92, of Lake Geneva, WI, formerly of Chicago, died Sunday June 29, 2014 at Golden Years in Walworth, WI. The former Jeannette Katherine Connors was born in Woburn, MA on March 29, 1922 the daughter of the late James and Loretta (Callahan) Connors. She was raised in Arlington, MA, graduated from high school in New Hampshire and attended Junior College in Boston. On June 25, 1944 in Plattsburg, NY she was united in marriage to Edward Maslanka; he preceded her in death on October 9, 2006.
Jeannette is survived by: 3 children; James E. (Catherine E. Giebel) Maslanka of Lakeside, MI, Edward T. (Vonna) Maslanka of Deerfield, IL and Jeanmarie (Phillip) Hall of Lake Geneva, 5 grandchildren; Ryan and Tyler Hall, Emily, Thomas, and Katerina Maslanka and Michael McEachern. She was preceded in death by; her husband, a son Thomas and a grandson Jonathan McEachern.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday July 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1775 Grove St., Glenview, IL. Visitation will be Monday, in church, from 9:15 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in DesPlaines, IL. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Jeannette’s name to: Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva.
