Jason Keith Acup, born on November 28, 1976, in Belvidere, Illinois, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Sharon, Wisconsin. He is remembered as a man of remarkable intelligence, a sharp sense of humor, deep empathy, and a touch of endearing sarcasm that endeared him to those who knew him.
Jason's passions were diverse, showcasing a unique blend of interests that defined his character. He was a talented glass artist and enjoyed teaching others his craft. His keen mechanical aptitude found an outlet in his love for restoring old BMX bikes, Mercedes and Volkswagens, a hobby that brought him immense joy and allowed him to express his creativity. He loved Music and attending festivals and concerts with his friends and loved ones. He was an avid Grateful Dead fan.
Jason leaves behind a loving family. His mother, Laura Keller, and stepfather, Mike Keller, provided unwavering support throughout his life. Jason is also survived by his son, Maddox Acup, and his two daughters, Anais Acup and Lillyan Sandfer. He loved his children deeply and would often share stories of them with pride. In addition, he is survived by his brothers: Justen Acup and Michael Glus whom he grew up with; Steven Acup and Aaron Acup who he connected with as an adult and his many close friends he considered brothers.
The memories he created and the lives he touched will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His impact on those around him, marked by laughter, empathy, and a remarkable spirit, will not be forgotten. As we reflect on his life, we honor the joy he brought into this world and the love he shared with those he held dear.
Services for Jason will be held on Sunday March 29, 2026 at 3:00. A visitation prior to the service will be held starting at 1:00pm. Please join his family to celebrate his life, wear your favorite Grateful Dead or other band shirt if you like.
