Janice Ann True

Jun 18, 1957 — Jul 11, 2026

Pell Lake, Wisconsin

It is in great sadness of the Passing of the love of my life. Janice Ann Marovich True. She graced this world from 6/18/1957 until her untimely passing on 7/11/2026 at age 69. Janice was surrounded by her husband, son, and daughter. With the help of Ashley, Janice was able to pass onto her next journey in peace and comfort as she wished.

Janice was born in Gary, Indiana, and always spoke about how she was a tom boy while growing up. Janice was always well protected by her 2 Brothers, which both are well over 6’. Tom Marovich, which is the oldest and lives in Florida with his family and her youngest brother Steven Marovich, along with his wife, currently lives in the UP of WI, and her sister Sue Weigel in LaPorte Indiana.  Janice enjoyed playing baseball with all her friends in La Port, Indiana and they were all known as the "East Side Kids". Right up to the end they all remained good friends. When one of their childhood bands played at a local bar or VFW down there, Janice and Russell would take the trip from Pell Lake to go see hear them play. We would meet up with several of the "East Side" members at that location. They would all get up and dance and reminisce of their younger days.

Janice's sister, Carol Olson of Lake Geneva, has a cabin up in the Upper peninsula. She enjoyed the breath-taking views of all the waterfalls in the area. We visited them every trip up there. She also enjoyed fishing on the 16 lakes on the Cisco Chain. When not fishing on the lakes, we would just boat and travel the shorelines, viewing all the log cabins.

Janice worked as a dental lab technician, a customer service Bunny at the old Playboy in Lake Geneva, and a couple Big Box Stores. Janice was always there to help others.

She is survived by her husband, Russell True, who shared over 20 years of their life and affection together in their great Partnership. Her daughter Ashley Fogarty: her son in law Justin; her son Kyle Bartolac; stepdaughters Amber with our granddaughter Brooklynn who Janice was known as Nana, Kristin and grandson Anthony and great-grand-daughter, and Cora. There is also her Niece Jenna and great niece Desna who knew her as auntie Pony. Janice earned this name for the pony rides Janice would give Desna on her knees. When Janice came home from the hospital and saw Brooklyn and Desna, she smiled and giggled for the first time in days.

There are so many friends and family we would like to thank for all the prayers and the love you have all given Janice all her life as well as now. Janice was the Love of my life and will always be. We will all be missing her smiles and joyful self. Thank you again for all the love, prayers and support everyone has shown. Janice is now in a place of comfort and joy where she can now look over and protect us. We will always feel her presence.
