Janice G. Ulan, 63, of Delavan, WI, died Saturday March 31, 2012 at her home. The former Janice Gail Koons was born in Harvey, IL on January 4, 1949. She graduated from Thornridge High School in Dalton, IL in 1967 and then from Saint Xavier College in Milwaukee, WI with a BS in Business. She had worked as a quality control supervisor for Pentair Corporation in Delavan, WI for many years.
Janice was a talented artist working in pottery, water color, oil on canvas and photography; she was a purist. She loved to travel; she enjoyed cooking and was an avid golfer. She was a people person who also loved animals.
She is survived by: 2 children; Lara Jan Ulanowski of Chicago, IL and Carlin Ulanowski of Golf Shores, AL 2 grandchildren; Tyler Ulanowski and Kyle Tilly, her parents Bernard and Frances (Ward) Taillon, 3 brothers; Keith Koons of Oak Creek, WI, Gregory (Carol) Koons of Gary, IN, and Bernard (Beth) Taillon of Denver, CO and a sister Cathy Taillon of Valparaiso, IN.
A Celebration of Janice’s life will be held on Thursday April 5, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 800 Park Dr. Lake Geneva, WI. Angie Alesci Chaplain at Aurora V.N.A. Hospice will officiate. The Ulan family will receive visitors Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
