Janet Mabelle (Buckle) O'Neill

Janet M. O’Neill, 85, of the Williams Bay area passed away on August 1st, 2021, at Burlington Memorial Hospital.

Born Janet Mabelle Buckle to the late Francis J. and Marjorie B. (Spear) Buckle on April 28th, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois.  On May 7th, 1955, Janet was joined in marriage to the late David C. O’Neill Jr. in Chicago.

Janet was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  She especially enjoyed her role as a grandmother.  She made friends everywhere she went and enjoyed life to the fullest.  Janet loved her job as a realtor for Keefe Real Estate where she worked for 20 plus years.  Janet was also a former property manager for the Willabay Condos in Williams Bay, Wisconsin.

Four children survive Janet: Nancy J. (Pat) Ward, Robert W. (Colleen) O’Neill, Thomas J. (Mary) O’Neill, and Kathy M. Sanders.  15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six siblings: Barbara Seitz, Robert J. Buckle, Mary R. Lane, Linda Crego, Frank Buckle, and Rosie Sollinger all survive Janet.  Janet was proceeded in death by her husband David, one son; David F. O’Neill, one son-in-law, Mike Sanders; and one sister, Nancy J. Buckle.

Services for Janet will be held on Wednesday August 11th, 2021, at 10:00am at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Fontana, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 10th, 2021, from 4:00pm till 7:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.
