Jane Bailey Smith

Jane Bailey Smith, 85, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away at Saint Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.  The former Jane Bailey was born in Choctaw,  OK on January 5, 1936 the daughter of the late Fay and Ingeborg (Nesheim) Bailey.  On December 24, 1954 in El Reno, OK she was united in marriage to Gerald H. Smith Jr.: he preceded her in death on January 11, 2017.

Jane was an active member of the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of a Bridge Club and a Knitting Circle.  She also enjoyed doing pottery and knitting.  She had spent many years as a tutor for E.S.L.

Jane is survived by: 2 sons; Craig (Connie) Smith of Barrington Hills, IL and Scott (Elizabeth) Smith of Lake Geneva, WI, 3 granddaughters; Alison, Katherine and Jessica.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Smith.

Services for Jane will be held on Friday July 23, 2021at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church: Pastor Heather Brewer will officiate.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the main chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Jane’s name to the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
