James S. Michuda, 91, a longtime resident of Lake Geneva, WI, died Friday May 17, 2013 at his home.  James Stephen Michuda was born in Chicago, IL on May 24, 1921 the son of the late Anton and Mary (Paylo) Michuda.  He graduated from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago in 1939 and then from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI in 1943 with a B.S. degree in engineering.  He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater onboard a destroyer and then with the Seabees.  He was a founding partner with his father and brother of Michuda Brothers Construction Company in Chicago.  He was a member of the Gopher Club in Chicago and a lifetime member of Frank Kresen American Legion Post #24 in Lake Geneva.
Jim is survived by: 2 sisters; Lillian Fessenden of Miami, FL and Anne T. Michuda of Lake Geneva, WI., 7 nieces and nephews; Anthony Michuda, Nancy Michuda, Michael Michuda, Laura Michuda Sills, Faith Ann Bishock, Ace Fessenden Jr.,  Marianna Fessenden Reed, and many great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother Anton George Michuda.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday May 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church; Father Angel Anaya will officiate.  Burial will follow in Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery.  The Michuda family will receive visitors Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Jim’s name to: V.N.A.
