Jack Montemagni

July 23, 1932 — May 18, 2025

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Jack Montemagni, 92, of the Lake Geneva area passed away at his home on May 18, 2025, surrounded by his friends and family.

Jack’s story starts in Toulouse, France where he was born to the late Renato and Anita (Barsanti) Montemagni on July 23, 1932. After time his family moved back to Italy their home town called Vico Pancellorum. A mountain town in Tuscany Italy.Jack and his family came to America, traveling through Ellis Island.  Shortly after they arrived in the states Jack joined the United States Army where he served in the Korean War.   During his time in Korea Jack was granted his United States Citizenship.  After Jack returned from the war he met and was united into marriage to the late Lorraine Montemagni   They met at the Aragon Ballroom and both lived in Chicago, then moved and raised his family in River Grove IL. Built a summer home in Lake Como and retired there. They both loved Wisconsin for its nature and made him feel his roots in Italy.

58 years of Marriage and he missed her so very much. She was the Queen as he would say.

Jack was a hard working man. Was a Statue maker (castor) in his younger days. Then was Terrazzo Tile Union Worker and retired at 62.

He was a member of the Mazzini-Verdi Club and Lucchesi Nel Mondo.  Jack was an avid Bocce Player, he loved to dance, and he loved a good glass, or bottle, of wine.  Jack would visit DJs In The Drink where he could sit and visit with his daughter and was also a member of The Thirsty Parrot.(Freddies West End friends)

Jack is survived by two children: Tina (Kevin O’Connell) Invergo and Raymond (Nancy) Montemagni.  4 Grandchildren, Chantal Bret)Hayden, Joseph (Angie) Stramaglia, Gino Montemagni Nico (Nicole) Montemagni 12 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter

Jack was proceeded in death by his wife Lorraine Montemagni on July 16, 2014, his parents Renato and Anita, and his one brother Ronald Montemagni.

There will be a short visitation for Jack on Tuesday May 27th, 2025, from 4:00pm till 5:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.   There will be a graveside service on May 28th, 2025, at 11:00 at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaine, Illinois, where Jack will be entombed with his wife.
