Gloria Jean (Prange) Powers

Gloria Jean Powers, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away on April 5th, 2024 at her new residence in Williams Bay.

Gloria was born in Lake Forest, IL on May 3rd, 1953 to Bernie Prange and Elise Matas. Gloria married Lawrence Powers on May 10th, 1980 and together they shared two children, Matt and Sarah.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother and caretaker. She was very creative and had a great passion for art. She enjoyed painting with watercolors, working with pottery and making jewelry. She loved reading mysteries, watching old British television and laughing with her friends and family.

Gloria was the definition of a fighter. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, went through chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and years of therapy, but never once complained or wanted to be an inconvenience.

Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Powers and her parents, Bernie and Elise. She is survived by her two children; Matt and Sarah Powers, and her grandchildren; Connor and Emerson.

A memorial service for Gloria will be held on May 3, 2024 at 5:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 till the time of service on May 3rd.
