Gerry Lee Dexter

Gerry L. Dexter, 89, of the Williams Bay area passed away on July 28, 2025, at Williams Bay Care Center.

Gerry was born on March 30th, 1936, in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Howard and Gail (Smith) Dexter.  Gerry was a member of the graduating class of 1954 from West High School in Waterloo, Iowa.  On June 7th, 1960, in Waverly, Iowa, Gerry was united into marriage to Sharon Kronberg.

Gerry was a self-employed writer for most of his life but the career he loved the most was being an on-air DJ for Lake Geneva’s own 1550 WMIR am radio station.

Gerry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sharon, one son Don and his one sister Peg (Randy) Bray. Gerry was proceeded in death by parents, Howard and Gail, and his Mary Ann Rice.

Service for Gerry will be held on Friday August 8th, 2025, at 2:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.  There will be a visitation prior to the service starting at 1:00pm.
