George J Weeks

George J. Weeks, Sr. passed peacefully surrounded by his family on January 23, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington, Wisconsin. George served in the United States Navy for 22 years. He loved to travel and was passionate about a good game of golf.
George was born to Alfred Hunter and Christine Louise (Schaefer) Weeks on May 27, 1930. Their family resided in Wilmette, Illinois. George married Margaret Marie Nolan on September 27, 1952; she preceded him in death. George was also preceded in death by: his son, Robert; parents; and siblings, Mary, Virginia, Dorothy Ann (died at age 4), Alfreda, Viola, Alfred, Thelma, Robert, Dorothy Ann (died at birth), Elizabeth, Dorothy Ethel, Barbara Joseph (died as at birth).
Survived by his brother, Joseph; his children, George Jr., Beverly and Cynthia; his grandchildren, Guy (Dave), Frank, Cassandra (Frank), Joseph, Michelle, Kyle and Robert; and his great grandchildren, Brandon, Shawn, Alex, Ryan, Gabriela, Analyssa, Angelina, Theodore, Isabella, Lillian, Kali, Elliott, Dyllan and Makenna Rae.
Services for George will be held on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday February 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
