George W. Hansen Sr., 65, of the Genoa City area passed away on July 27, 2024, at St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
George was born on June 2, 1959, to the late Edward and Irene (Mozdzis) Hansen in Chicago, Illinois. On May11, 1979, George was united into marriage to Bonnie Fields in Chicago, Illinois.
George was an outdoors man by heart. He loved to be on the water whether it was fishing or just out enjoying a beautiful day. Even though George lived in Wisconsin he was a true Chicago sports fan. He watched the White Sox over the Cubbies any day. If there was football to watch it was Da’Bears and the Blackhawks were the only ones to rule on the ice. George was a fantastic husband, an unbelievable father, and the “Best Ever” Papa anyone could ever ask for.
George is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie. Four Chidlren: George (Holly) Hansen Jr., Heather Hansen, Lisa (Terrence) O’Reagn, and Samatha Hansen all survive George. Nine Grandchildren: Tyler, Blake, Justin, Preston, Sabrina, Giovanni, Mykala, Bailey, and Oakley along with Georges Four Siblings: Sharon Pesina, Debbie Enochs, Roy Hansen, and Roger Hansen all survive George. George was proceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Irene, and three brothers: Joe, Johnny, and Mark.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy George’s family have asked that you donate in his name to the American Cancer Society
A celebration of George’s life will be held on August 31st, 2024, starting at 8:00am in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin at Millennium Park.
