George Christian Andersen

George C. Andersen, 83, of the Fontana, Wisconsin area passed away at his home on November 27, 2024, surrounded by his family.

George was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on February 26th, 1941.  George was the fourth child of Floyd C. Andersen and Lillian Geneva (Hix) Andersen.

Georges favorite memories were being a boy scout and going to Camp Blazing Star on Lake Nashotah first as a camper then as a counselor.  He was active in little league at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church.  George played football in junior high and at Bradford High School graduating in 1960.

George taught swimming at the Kenosha Youth Center then went to work for American Motors before he was drafted in December of 1963.  George received his training at Fort Leonard wood, Missouri, to be a radio teletype operator.  After training he was stationed in Germany. After he returned home to Kenosha, he was hired by Dynamatic, a division of Eaton Corp.

George was very active in his children’s activities coaching soccer for CYC and being a pack 530 troop leader.

George was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Lillian Geneva Andersen, his daughter Carrie Lynn, and his brother Robert Andersen.
