Gayle D. Hendricks, 64, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Tuesday April 1, 2014 at Post Acute Medical Hospital in Greenfield, WI. The former Gayle Darlyn Novak was born in Blue Island, IL on July 31, 1949 the daughter of Bernie and Cora (Pott) Novak. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in Blue island, IL in 1967. She received her degree in nursing from Bryar Medical College in Oak Lawn, IL. On June 21, 1965 in Chicago, IL she was united in marriage to David Baker; he preceded her in death on August 6, 1995. Gayle enjoyed Boating and shopping and she was deeply involved in genealogy. Her greatest joy, however, was being a mom and a grandma.
She is survived by: 4 children; Kimberly Ehrhardt of West Bend, WI, Tammy (Mark) Koski of Antioch, IL, Michelle (John) Benter of Richmond, IL and Corey Marx of Milwaukee, WI, 9 grandchildren; Tyler and Cassidy Ehrhardt, Amanda, Christopher and Ryan Kauffman, Kaitlyn Koski, Damien Albisu and Isaiah and Natalia Gudino, her mother Cora (Joseph) Marx of Blue Island, IL, 3 brothers; Dale (Pam) Novak, Joe (Debbie) Marx, Dan Marx, and 3 sisters; Carol (Randy) Powell, Mary (Henry) Novak Beckworth, Dorothea (David) Justice. She was preceded in death by: her father Bernie Novak, a sister Diane Novak and a brother Michael Novak. A Celebration of Gayle’s life will be held at a later date.
