Finn Nor, a beloved baker and cherished man, passed away peacefully at his home on December 27, 2025. At the age of 81. Born on November 15, 1944, in Vissenbjerg, Denmark. He was the second child of Gustav and Aase Nor. His siblings included Otto (Tove) Nor, followed by Finn and then Jens (Kirsten) Nor, followed by Bodil Nor (Per) Pedersen.
Finn began his career in baking after completing grade school, embarking on an apprenticeship at Tech School in March of 1960 where he honed his skills and graduated in March of 1964. His culinary talent was evident as he distinguished himself by earning second place in a competition second place among the country of Denmark’s Tech School’s graduates of that year. Finn brought his skills to Bittner Bakery in downtown, after immigrating to the United States, eventually purchasing the bakery, Following the closure of the Bittner’s his commitment to the art of baking continued at Stinebrink’s Piggly Wiggly as he became a valued baker for over 20 years. s Finn reflected on his life in 2025, he proudly celebrated 65 years as a baker, he was passionate about his work as a master baker, his legacy will continue on through his teaching to others of his craftsmanship.
Finn also served honorably in Her Royal Highness' Danish Navy, a testament to his dedication to service and duty. His tour of duty included working with the United Nations and touring ports of call from Scotland, along the European coast down to Greece.
Beyond his professional achievements, Finn cherished his role as a family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Harriet Nor, together they raised 6 children, Frank (Teresa) Rizzo, Bob (Terri Lefty) Rizzo, Chris (Kathy) Rizzo, Patti (Todd Leeser) Rizzo, Mike Rizzo, and Erik Finn Nor.
He was proud Papa to 13 grandchildren and devoted great-grandfather to 14.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Asse and Gustav, his brother, Otto and his son, Chris.
Finn Nor will be forever remembered not just for his baking prowess but also for the love he shared with his family and the warmth he brought to all who knew him. His spririt will love on in the hearts and lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.

Services for Finn will be held on Saturday January 17th, 2026, at 11:00am at the Church of the Holy Communion, Episcopal, 320 Broad Street, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held prior to the services starting at 10:00am. There will be a time for fellowship and continued celebration of Finn's life following the service.
