Evelyn Marie (Walvoord) Dahl

Evelyn M. Dahl, 85, of the Burlington, Wisconsin area died on January 18, 2022, at Pine Brook Pointe in Burlington.

Born Evelyn Marie Walvoord to the late Mathew and Cornelia (Smies) Walvoord on May 4, 1936, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.  On February 20th, 1960, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin Evelyn was united into marriage to Martin J. Dahl.

In Evelyn’s world there was two things that she was passionate about.  One was her family.  She was loved her boys, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.  The second was her unending passion for the Lord.  Evelyn was involved in every aspect of the church that she could be.  Evelyn spent eight years getting her degree from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.   When Evelyn was not spending time with her family, she spent her life knowing the Lord.  Her family can rest easy knowing that Evelyn is happy to be home with the Lord.

Three children survive Evelyn: Guy (Lydia) Dahl, Cris “Skinny” Dahl, and Lance (Deb) Dahl. Ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren five siblings: Marge Hoftiezer, Bonnie Buteyn, Nelda Silva, Fern Van Driest, Fay Bergeman, and Andy Walvoord all survive Evelyn.   Evelyn was proceeded in death by her husband of 32 years Martin on August 14, 1992, her parents and one sibling: Carol Van Sluys.

Service for Evelyn will be held on Monday January 24, 2022, at 2:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 till the time of service on January 24, 2022.
