Ethel Janet (Cooper) Siedschlag

January 10, 1920 — August 3, 2013

Ethel J. Siedschlag, 93, of Genoa City passed away Saturday, August 3rd at Aurora Memorial Hospital Burlington, WI.  Ethel Janet Cooper was born on January 10th, 1920 to the late Leslie and Edith (Clark) Cooper in Richmond, Ill.  Ethel was married to Norman “Sparky” Siedschlag in Richmond, Ill on December 24th, 1941.  Ethel was a member of the Grace Lutheran Seniors club.

Her three children survive Ethel:  Rosemary Johnson of Pell Lake, WI. Carol (Vic) Long of Genoa City, WI., and Wendy (Paul Pescetto) Siedschlag of Twin Lakes, WI.  She is also survived by two grandchildren: Bob (Michelle) Schinker of Genoa City, WI. and Dave (Donna) Schinker of Rockford, MI.  Ethel has 3 great-grandchildren that survive her: Tim (Shannon) Schinker of Genoa City, WI., Matt (Candice Petrillo) Schinker of Burlington, WI., and Hannah Schinker of Rockford, MI.  One great great grandchild also survives Ethel:  Colie Jean Schinker of Burlington, WI.  Ethel is survived by 3 sisters; Annette Toynton, Frances Siedschlag, and Lucreta Nelson, and also 3 brothers: Larry (Kathy) Cooper, Donald (Jean) Cooper, and Albert (Faye) Cooper.  Ethel was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Norm “Sparky” Siedschlag: one daughter Gail Marie.  Three brothers also preceded her in death: Kenneth, James, and Jerry Cooper.

Services for Ethel will be Thursday the 8th of August at 7:30p.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, WI: Pastor Keith Aurand will be presiding.  Visitation will be from 4:00p.m. till the time of the service.  Burial will be 10:00a.m. in the Richmond Township Cemetery in Richmond, Ill.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.  To sign the online guest registries please click view/sign condolence book at the bottom of the page.
