Elwood “Woody” C. Allen Jr., 83, of Walworth died at his home on January 26th, 2016.

Born Elwood Charles Allen on August 4th, 1932 to the late Elwood and Mabel (Carlson) Allen in Denver, Colorado.

Elwood was a member of the graduating class of 1950 from Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut.

On July 6th, 1985 Elwood was united into marriage to Deborah Cleverdon in Sharon, Wisconsin.

Woody was involved in FFA, SMILES of Darien, Wisconsin, Ducks Unlimited, American Retriever Club and the American Quarter Horse Association.

Elwood’s true passion in life was raising horses.

Woody is survived by his wife of 30 years, Deborah, and his 4 children:

Suzanne (Manuel) De Sanchez Allen of Lompoc, California,

Caroline (Clark) Dean of Lake Como, Wisconsin

Samuel Charles Knight Allen of New York, and

Kathryn Bond Cleverdon Allen of Walworth, Wisconsin.

Woody has 4 grandchildren: Carolina, Peter, and Miguel Sanchez and Rebecca Bookwalter and 1 great grandchild, Bentley.

Elwood’s brother Douglas Allen of Sea Girt, New Jersey also survives him.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the Allen family has asked that you make a donation in Elwood’s name to the SMILES organization. A link has been provided at the bottom of the page for your convenience.

There will be a celebration of life gathering on March 5, 2016 at Koval's, N426 Swamp Angel Road, Lake Geneva, WI from 4-8 pm.
