Edwin C. Meltzer, 83, a longtime resident of the Lake Geneva area died Thursday December 26, 2013 at Aurora Saint Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Edwin Charles Meltzer was born in Chicago, IL on November 1, 1930 the son of the late Samuel and Sarah (Mandel) Meltzer. He graduated from high school in Chicago. Edwin was a farmer and farmed the family farm in Geneva Township for many years. He also owned and operated the Mount Fuji Ski Hill on Krueger Road for many years. Edwin was an accomplished artist creating over 1,000 individual paintings.
He will be missed by his long time love, Jean Morrisy, his good friends; Sal and Corrine Dimiceli Sr. and their children; Sal Jr. Sean, Shannon and Shaelyn, also Charles Moelter, Rob and Sherry Chelminiak and Don and Kathy Engle. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Harold and Philbert and a sister Thelma.
Services will be Thursday January 2, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, WI. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
