Dr. Edward W. Ruzga D.C., 58, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Friday December 28, 2012 at his home. Edward Walter Ruzga was born in Gary, IN on December 15, 1954 the son of Vladas and Marie (Nenios) Ruzga. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1976. In 1986 he earned his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. On November 20, 1982 in Gary, IN he was united in marriage to the former Dalia Kiudulas. For 25 years he cared for his patients and served as a mentor for student chiropractors at Family Care Chiropractic Center in Kenosha, WI. He had played defensive end for the Detroit Lions and served as head coach for the Lake Geneva Badgers Youth Football program for several years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Edward is survived by: Dalia, his wife of 30 years, 4 children; Richard (Leslie) Ruzga of Schaumburg, IL, Anthony Ruzga of Madison, WI, Diana Ruzga of Madison, WI and Edward Ruzga of West Point, NY, granddaughter Charlotte Ruzga, his father Vladas Ruzga of Woodstock, IL and sister Linda (Richard) Burba of Woodstock, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie Ruzga, a sister Rita Riskus and a brother Lenny Ruzga.
Services for Edward will be held on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Pius V Roman Catholic Church in Mukwonago, WI. Visitation will be in church Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva is assisting the Ruzga family with arrangements.
